Templenoe 0-15      Kenmare 2-10

Only the kick of a ball separated these sides in the Kenmare District Board Spillane Cup played in Templenoe in very good conditions.

A free by Patrick Palmer opened the scoring.   Kenmare replied through a free kick from Paul O'Connor who then put Kenmare in front with a point from play and a free. Then came their goal from Aidan Crowley to put Kenmare 1 - 03 to 0-01 in front.   Patrick Palmer converted a free and then added three points from play to reduce the margin to one point.   Paul O'Connor and Patrick Palmer exchanged frees, before Kenmare's Michael Randles and Paul O'Connor had points to give Kenmare 1-06 to Templenoe 0-06 lead a half-time.

Paul O'Connor had an early point in the second half, before Patrick Palmer from a free and from play answered back for Templenoe.   Kenmare's Alan O'Leary and Templenoe's Cian Hallissey swopped points to leave Kenmare 1-08 Templenoe 0-09 ahead,   Kenmare went further ahead through a Shane Duncan point and then a goal from Michael Randles putting Kenmare 2-09 to 0-09 in front.   However, Templenoe responded with two frees by Patrick Palmer and points from play by Gavin Crowley and Patrick Palmer (2) to leave the score Kenmare 2-09 Templenoe 0-14.  A long range free from Patrick Palmer had the sides level, before a late Kenmare point by Shane Duncan left the final score Kenmare 2-10 Templenoe 0-15 after a great game.
