Kenmare District qualified for the Quater finals of the Co. Minor Championship by beating St. Kieran's in Ballymac on Tuesday Evening.Kenmare raced into 1-3 to 0-0 with Kevin O'Sullivan getting their goal. However by half-time St. Kierans had the margin down to a goal 1-7 to 0-7.
The visitors increased their lead to 7 points after the restart before Kieran's wing back Johnny O'Connor struct for a goal. More points followed for the home team to leave only 2 between the sides. However Kenmare kept their cool and responded with 2 scores leaving the final score Kenmare District 1-14 St. Kieran's 1-ll after a good game of football.
