Templenoe just about shaded the Junior Shield Quarter- Final thanks to a late winner from Timmy Clifford. This game was played in difficult underfoot conditions in Templenoe last Sunday.
Templenoe got off to good start and went into a 0-5 to 0-1 lead with points from Patrick Palmer(3), Tadhg Morley and Danny Cahalane while Con O'Mahony was on target for Firies. Then the Visitors took over by getting 1-2 without reply. Niall Foley pointed and Eamonn O'Mahony scored 1-1. Danny Cahalane equalised just before the break.

In the 2nd half Firies Eamonn O'Mahony and a long range effort from Templenoe's Adrain Spillane kept the match level, before Eamonn O' Mahoney put Firies ahead with a free. Patrick Palmer and Eamonn O'Mahoney exchanged scores. Then Timmy Clifford popped over the equaiser. With time almost up Templenoe took the lead when Timmy Clifford landed a great point. Firies had one last attack but their shot on goal was well saved by Templenoe goalie Anthony Sheehan and with that the final whistle sounded.
