Firies 0-06, Templenoe 2-10
Templenoe travelled to Firies and came out with a good win in a game played in very damp conditions.
Two frees were exchanged by both teams in the first five minutes with John Rice on target for Templenoe. Templnoe went ahead through two Cian Hallissey frees but Firies reduced the deficit with a point from play. Conditions made scoring difficult but has half time approached Templnoe added two points through Adrian Spillane to leave the half time score Templenoe 0-05, Firies 0-02.
In the second half Firies started well and drew level with three points in the first five minutes. However edged ahead again through scores from John Rice, Tadhg Morley and two fine points by Adrian Spillane. This was replied with a point from Firies to leave the score 0-09 to 0-06. Adrian Spillane scored a goal which was followed by a Cian Hallissey point. Templenoe were finishing the stronger and a great team move saw Mike Hallissey through to score a goal to leave the final score Firies 0-06, Templenoe 2-10.
