A Templenoe Team fielding a bare minimum of 13 players, played out a draw with Kilgarvan in the opening round of the Purcell Cup. Both teams found scoring hard to come by, with a few notable misses in the 1st half. The half time score was Kilgarvan 0-04, Templenoe 0-04.

Templenoe didnt build on this advantage and Kilgarvan slowly levelled and opened a three point lead.
