McCarthy Insurance Group South Kerry Senior Football League Round 1:
Reenard 1-11, Templenoe 2-05.
A strong last quarter from Reenard saw them edge out Templenoe in the opening round of the South Kerry league played at Reenard GAA grounds. Although our senior footballers came up short on the day, it was a good workout for the team as they prepare for the season ahead. Templenoe welcomed the return to action of John Rice and Cian Hallissey, while Ríain O'Byrne made his senior debut and acquitted himself well.
The new Templenoe management team was also revealed today with Derek Moynihan (from Rathmore) and Aidan Cahill (from Spa) taking charge for the first time. We wish Derek and Aidan the very of best luck with their new roles and we thank Mike Crowley and the outgoing management for all their hard work and commitment, as they take a step back from the sideline.
