A late Ballydonaghue point gave them the narrowest of wins against Templenoe in Ballydonaghue last Saturday evening.
Conditions were damp and slippery with Ballydonaghue adopting better to them. The home side started brightly and went ahead by 0-5 to 0-2, the Templenoe scorers were Tadhg Morley and Patrick Palmer. Patrick Palmer converted 2 early 2nd half frees, before Ballydonaghue responded with a pointed free kick of their own. Templenoe then reduced the margin with two more frees from Patrick Palmer and a superb point from Shane Cremin to leave only a point in the match, Ballydonaghue 1-6, Templenoe 0-8. Ballydonaghue raised their game and kicked two points from play. With time almost up Templenoe put a move together, which saw Martin Reilly rattle the Ballydonaghue net and tie the match. In injury time, Ballydonaghue got the winning point as time ran out for Templenoe, who tried hard for an equalizer. Final Score: Ballydonaghue 1-9, Templenoe 1-8.
