Semi Final Result:
Dr Crokes 2-16, Templenoe 1-08, played in Lewis Rd Killarney, 30/08/11
An impressive display by Dr Crokes knocked Templenoe out of the Co. U-21 Club Championship played in Killarney on Tuesday evening.
Crokes opened the scoring before Adrian Spillane leveled matters with a free; however the Home team's response was empathic with an unanswered 0-9. Then Danny Cahanane rattled the net for the Visitors. Both team exchanged points to leave the Home side 0-11 to 1-2 ahead at the break.
A Crokes goal early in the second half put them in a commanding position, although Templenoe did reply with points from Gavin Crowley, Danny Cahalane and a 3rd from Cian Hallissey to leave the score 1-13 to 1-7. However, the Killarney side upped the ante again by adding 1-3 to Templenoe's 0-1 by Adrian Spillane.
All in all it was a powerful display from Dr Crokes. Well done and congratulations to Templenoe for reaching the County U-21 Club Championship Semi-Final.
