The Templenoe B's will play in the Barrett Cup in this years Junior Commpetition. 1st round fixtures are as follows

The Rules for the Junior Competitions are:
Junior Cups – 2013
Rd 1 commences on Friday Aug 9
CCC will decide which Cup Competition teams will compete in.
Below are the criteria for player eligibility.
Criteria
The following players are not eligible for the Junior Cup Competitions.
1st 15 approved by respective Divisional Board and forwarded to Co Board (1st 30 in the case of ‘C’ teams)
Any player who started in this years SFC or any of the Club Championship games, i.e. the Senior Club, Intermediate, Junior & Novice Championship. (A player coming on as a sub is ok) Participation in the Shield Competitions will not be taken into account.
Players who have played intercounty football at any level this year other than Kerry Minor.
Any player who played (i.e. came on as a Sub) for their Divisional/Group team in this year’s SFC
For teams who wish to enter 2 teams in the Junior Cups the following apply
Any player who plays (starts or comes on as a Sub) in this years Molyneaux Cup cannot subsequently play in a lesser grade Cup competition i.e. McElligott, Barrett or Cahill.
B team must play their Rd 1 game before C team plays. If B team gives walkover in Rd 1 game – C team is automatically removed from competition.

Templenoe 0-11, Castleisland Desmonds 1-05
Templenoe held on for a three point win over Castleisland Desmonds played on a dry Templenoe pitch. The home team lead from the start through two points from Sean Sheehan and Danny Cahalane. Shane O Connor replied with Desmonds opening score. Despite a fairly open match it took twenty minutes for these first three scores to be registered. Templenoe extended their lead with good individual scores from Gavin Crowley and Adrian Spillane. Castleisland replied again through Thomas Hickey but the last two points of the half came Templenoe’s way through Brian Crowley and Teddy Doyle to leave the half time score Templenoe 0-06, Castleisland 0-02.
The opening score of the second half came Templenoe’s way with a 45 converted by Teddy Doyle. Desmonds were quick to responds and got two points from Thomas Hickey and Stephen Bartlett to keep them in touch. Tempenoe who were playing the better football, followed up with the next two points from Gavin Crowley and Adrian Spillane. Desmonds were very dangerous on the break and a good move saw Thomas Hickey goal bound shot saved for a point. Templenoe responded through two points from Gavin Crowley and Denis O Neill.
Things were looking good at this stage for the home side as Castleisland had a man sent off, but in the next move Castleisland worked the ball up field for a Stephen Bartlette goal. The away side pressed for further scores but Templenoe held on for a victory for a final score of Templenoe 0-11, Castleisland Desmonds 1-05

Kelloggs Cúl Camp 2013
The Kelloggs Cúl Camp took place all this week in Templenoe GAA Grounds. The participants were very lucky to enjoy the best week of weather all year, and over 60 kids attended.

Templenoe GAA Club are holding a Race Night on Sat, 06/07/13 at 9:30 in the Blackwater Tavern. Horses for this can be bought from any club officer for €10. Deadline for entries is Friday evening.

Div3 County SFL, Beaufort V Templenoe
Beaufort 0-05, Templenoe 0-12
Templenoe gained two more valuable points in the County League with a good win away to Beaufort. The match was played in excellent conditions. Templenoe opened the scoring through points from Denis O Neill and Brian Crowley. Beaufort who employed a short kick out strategy worked the ball up the field to reduce the arrears to a point. Templenoe followed with a brace of points from Teddy Doyle and Cian Hallissey. Again Beaufort pointed from play but Templenoe followed up with two more points from Brain Crowley. This pattern continued with a point from Beaufort being responded to by two scores from Danny Cahalane and Cian Hallissey. Beaufort pointed the last score of the half, leaving the score Beaufort 0-03, Templenoe 0-08.
Beaufort registered the first point of the second half but Templenoe responded strongly with points from Cian Hallissey (2) and Teddy Doyle. Templenoe enjoyed most of the possession in this half but squandered a lot of scoring opportunities. In the last ten minutes both teams exchanged scores leaving Templenoe victories on a score line of Beaufort 0-05, Templenoe 0-12
