The Tuosist / Kilgarvan U14's defeted the Templenoe / Sneem / Derrynane U14's in a very one sided match to win the Johnny O'Sullivan (Myles) Memorial Cup

The 2nd match saw Templenoe play Dromid in the opening round of the South Kerry League. This match also doubled up as the Thade Morley Memorial Cup.

Despite the poor weather conditions throughout the week, the opening round of the South Kerry League was played on a very dry pitch in Dromore on Sunday.

Both teams combined to serve up an entertaining match with a late scoring flurry by Dromid insuring they ended up victorious.

Dromid opened the scoring with two quick points but Templenoe drew level through scores from Patrick Palmer. Both teams swapped points to keep the game level at three points a peace after 15 minutes. Templenoe were playing the better football at this stage and scored points through Martin Reilly, Patrick Palmer and Danny Cahalane. The last two scores of the half came Dromid’s way leaving the score Templenoe 0-06, Dromid 0-05.

Dromid levelled matters early in the second half and then took the lead before a Patrick Palmer point levelled matters. A second point for Padraig Doyle was cancelled out by another Dromid equalizer. Templnoe got the next two points through good work from Danny Cahalane. The game turned with a goal from Dromid and they started to get the upper hand but kicked some poor wide’s. The last scores of the match were scored by Dromid leaving the final score Templenoe 0-11, Dromid 1-12.

Templenoe have qualified for the final of the Páidi Ó Sé Football Tournament in the Junior Section with an opening round victory over Brussels GAA, and a Semi Final win of Cappage GAA from Kildare..

The opening match was played on a very heavy pitch in the Killarney Community College, with a goal from Brussels GAA keeping the scoreline close until the last 10 minutes. The Templenoe Team lined out as follows.
