Templenoe 2-15, Scartaglin 2-08
Two late goals gave Templenoe another good win in a match played in perfect conditions on Saturday evening.
A pointed free each by Daniel Murphy & Brian Crowley opened the scoring for both teams. Scartaglin went ahead with two more points from Denis Linehan & Daniel Murphy. Patrick Clifford responded with a great point after a Templenoe team move and this was followed by a Cain Hallissey free. Templenoe eventually went ahead through a Pat Spillane point under pressure.
A great run by centre back Padraig Reidy saw Daniel Murphy hauled down for a penalty. The same player dispatched the ball in the net for Scartaglin opening goal. A point by Mike Horan was followed by a Pa Rahilly point put Scartaglin in the driving seat, leaving the score Scartaglin 1-05, Templenoe 0-04. However before the break a free by Brian Crowley and a Denis O Neill point saw the half time score Templenoe 0-06, Scartaglin 1-05.
A Daniel Murphy free opened the second hand scoring for Scartaglin, and this was quickly followed with their second goal when a Padraig Reidy free dropped short and was fisted to the net by Mike Coakley. Scartaglin responded with another point to leave seven points between the sides with 25mins left. Templenoe battled on and got scores from Cian Hallissey (2), Shane Cremin and Brian Crowley.
A point from Denis Linehan kept Scartaglin in front but Patrick Clifford responded with his second point. Templenoe kept applying pressure and four points in a row from Cian Hallissey saw Templenoe edge ahead coming to the dying minutes of the match. With time almost up Templenoe got two late goals through Martin Reilly and Sean Sheehan to leave the final score Templenoe 2-15. Scartaglin 2-08.

An impressive second half display gave Templenoe victory in their last home league match of the year.
Templenoe opened the scoring with Brian Crowley, Gavin Crowley and Tadhg Morley putting Templenoe 0-03 to 0-00 ahead. Ballymac opened their account through a free and got their second through their wing back scoring a point from play. Denis O Neill got a point from Templenoe but Ballymac again responded with a free. Shane Cremin was next to score for Templenoe with a left legged point, but Ballymac started to gain the upper hand and score the last two points of the half. Half time score Templenoe 0-05, Ballymac 0- 06.
Templenoe, who were playing against a slight breeze in the second half started far better and got points from Cian Hallissey (0-02), Adrian Spillane, Killian Spillane (0-02) and Teddy Doyle putting Templenoe ahead 0-11 to 0-07 ahead half way through the second half. Ballymac got a solitary point in the second half but Templenoe pulled ahead at the end with scores from Kieran McCarthy, Cian Hallissey & Stephen O Sullivan to insure the victory.

Templenoe qualified for the semi final of the Acorn Life Club U21 Football Championship in a tightly fought match played in perfect conditions in Glenflesk on Friday evening.

Templenoe 1-09, An Ghaeltacht 3-14
Templenoe bowed out of the Club U21 Football Championship, with a loss to a very impressive An Ghaeltacht team at the semi-final stage of the competition.
Templenoe got off the mark with a point from Killian Spillane, but An Ghaeltacht responded quickly with a well worked goal. Both teams swapped points from frees, but An Ghaeltacht got the next point when a great Cathal Granville save saw the ball deflected over the bar.
Templenoe got the next two points from Denis O’Neill and Tadhg Morley, to leave a point in the difference at the 20 minute mark. Templenoe 0-04, An Ghaeltacht 1-02.
The next five minutes saw three unanswered points from An Ghaeltacht, but Templenoe got the last three points of the half from Denis O’Neill and two Killian Spillane frees to leave the half time score, Templenoe 0-07, An Ghaeltacht 1-05.
An Ghaeltacht got the opening score of the second half, but great work from Cian Hallissey setup Denis O’Neill to score Templenoe’s only goal of the game. Cian Hallissey followed up with another point, but this from then on, An Ghaeltacht took control of the match to score 2-06 in the last 20 minutes to run out convincing winners.
Final score Templenoe 1-09, An Ghaeltacht 3-14.
Before the match, a minutes silence was held in honour of Kenmare District Board Chairman, PJ McIntyre, who passed away earlier in the week.
