Paudie Palmer Memorial Match
Valley Rovers 1-13, Templenoe 0-04.
Despite the unfavourable weather conditions, there was a large turnout at Brinny on Sunday in a fitting tribute to the late Paudie Palmer, a man very fondly remembered and dearly missed by both clubs.
After a competitive first half, Valley Rovers took full advantage of the strong wind in the second half to run out comfortable winners against a depleted Templenoe side.
After the game following a few words from Valley Rovers Chairperson John O’Donovan and John Greene of C103fm, the specially commissioned trophy was presented by Collette Palmer to the Valley Rovers captain Darragh Murphy.
Templenoe GAA Club wishes to thank Valley Rovers for their generous hospitality and we look forward to seeing Valley Rovers make the return trip to Templenoe next year.
